Ha Noi: was once a collection of villages that eventually grew into quarters dedicated to particular crafts, where skilled artisans continue to practice their skills that have been handed down for centuries. Whether it is art, history, museums or ancient pagodas, tell us what interests you and we’ll take you on a memorable tour that includes Ha Noi’s Old Quarter where you can shop and learn about the history of family trade. Worth a visit are the Temple of Literature (ad 1070), Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda (ad 1049), Tran Quac Pagoda (17th Century), Museum of Ethnology , Museum of Fine Arts and the elegant Opera House.
Handicraft Villages: On the outskirts of Ha Noi are at least 50 Handicraft villages, with some being world renowned for their art and craft. During a fun and insightful day, you can explore and shop at some of the must see villages such as Bat Trang ceramic village, Van Phuc silk village, Dong Ky wood carving village and So noodle village.
Bat Trang Ceramics:
Located along the banks of the Red River , Bat Trang is definitely 's most famous ceramic village. Ancestors of today’s ceramic artisans began their crafts in world famous Bat Trang during the Ly Dynasty some 10 centuries ago. Local artisans are renowned around the world for the ceramic arts and have won many international awards. You’ll witness theses artisans at work as you roam down narrow alleys into shops where you’ll be able to buy their refined ceramics at unbelievable prices.
Van Phuc Silk:
Located 15Km west of Ha Noi, Van Phuc is renowned for centuries of silk making and silk products. The streets of Van Phuc, lined with modern store fronts selling beautiful silk clothes and fabrics, are abuzz with looms and sewing machines. The local silk is known for its smooth and lightweight appearance, qualities that enable it to be dyed many colours to suit a variety of skin tones. You can buy ready made garments or buy the raw fabric of your liking and have one of Ha Noi’s famous tailors custom craft your clothes.
Dong Ky Wood Carving:
Originally, carpentry was a side hobby for inhabitants of Dong Ky. However, poverty forced the villagers to concentrate their skills on this occupation. The 12,000 or so residents now prosper from their trade with demand increasing from hotels, restaurants and exporters for their quality hand carved furniture and crafts. The wood work here is also famous for its meticulously inlaid mother of pearl.
Cu Da Noodle Village:
Undoubtedly your trip to will include tasting many of the savoury dishes here and, while in Ha Noi, you must enjoy a bowl of Pho or Mien soup. Ha Noi is famous for Pho and anyone will tell you that you can’t find good Pho outside Ha Noi. This is because the residents of Cu Da village have been mastering this recipe for centuries. Of course, it’s interesting to see how these delicious noodles are made, but you’ll also be impressed and inspired with the architecture and ancient buildings of this village just to the south of Ha Noi.

2. Confirmation: Upon receipt of your request, VietnamAdventuresTravel.Com’s team will check and inform you about availability. Your booking is considered confirmed when we receive your acknowledgement.
3. Voucher: Vouchers will be issued to you after we receive your confirmation.
